(VEN) - Cua Lo Town is ready for a new tourism season for the Reunification Day, April 30.
With beautiful beaches, improved tourism services and local specialties, Cua Lo Town expects to attract lots of visitors this tourism season
According to Chairman of the Cua Lo Town People’s Committee Doan Tien Dung, the town will offer a variety of new tours this year including Cua Lo – Vinh – Nam Dan – Do Luong – Dien Chau – Nghia Dan – Con Cuong and MICE (Meeting-Incentive-Convention-Exhibition), adopt new high quality transport services and improve fish trade at Cua Hoi fishing port and Cua Lo seafood market, with a view to promoting the town as one of the most attractive destinations in Nghe An Province.
To ensure tourist safety and security during the season, the Cua Lo Town People’s Committee has agreed not to allow personal vessels to moor at the beach, intensified traffic control, established new car stops, provided hotline for tourist complaints and upgraded the website http://www.cualo.vn.
Cua Lo Town effectively curbed prices while ensuring tourist safety and security last year. The town recorded an 11 percent economic growth increase over 2014, a 16 percent increase in terms of budget revenue (hitting VND268 billion), a 30.6 percent increase in terms of tourism revenue (hitting VND2.26 trillion) and a 15.7 percent increase in terms of tourist number (hitting nearly 2.5 million).
This year, the town expects to welcome more than 2.6 million tourists, including 1.45 overnight tourists and 6,000 international tourists, and register more than VND2.7 trillion in tourism revenue.
Speaking at a press conference on the Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2016, Chairman of the Cua Lo Town People’s Committee Doan Tien Dung said that the town has offered most favorable conditions for investors, especially in terms of administrative procedures. Investors there may complete investment dossiers within days. Local prices will also be strictly controlled so as not to make the town an expensive destination.
With beautiful beaches, improved tourism services and local specialties, Cua Lo Town expects to become one of the country’s most attractive destinations in the future. It also considers the tourism sector an economic spearhead, significantly contributing to the local and provincial socioeconomic development.
A series of activities will be held during the holiday from April 29 to May 2, including a firework at the Binh Minh Square in the evening of the Reunification Day, a boat race on International Labor Day on May 1 and a beauty contest.
