(VEN) - The border between Vietnam and Laos has eight international border-crossings, eight main border-crossings and 20 subordinate border-crossings. In recent years, the two countries have applied many policies to promote trade cooperation and achieved positive results thanks to their close relationship. Vietnam and Laos’ ministries of industry and trade recently organized the ninth conference on Vietnam-Laos border trade cooperation. The conference was co-chaired by Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang and his Lao counterpart Khemmani Pholsena.
