Colombia, Vietnam strengthen health cooperation

(VEN) - Chief of the Ministry of Health’s Secretariat Ha Anh Duc welcomed Colombian Ambassador to Vietnam Miguel Angel Rodriguez Melo to discuss cooperation between the two countries on pandemic treatment and control.

The Colombian ambassador expressed his appreciation of Vietnam’s success in Covid-19 prevention and control and its solidarity with his country in the Covid-19 battle.

Chief of the Ministry of Health’s Secretariat Ha Anh Duc also thanked the ambassador for his concern and described Vietnam’s Covid-19 prevention and control measures. Duc said Vietnam has focused on early detection and treatment of infection, while urgently imposing isolation and quarantine on pandemic-hit areas. I

n addition, Vietnam is constantly improving treatment methods and has developed an effective treatment protocol for infected patients. Vietnam has suspended the entry of all foreigners until further notice to limit the spread of the pandemic. In addition, the country has formed a team of experts to study and provide early warnings on Covid-19 developments.
