Cinderella ballet to come back on stage in town

Artists of the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) will stage the popular Cinderella ballet at the HCMC Opera House on April 8 and 9.

The ballet, which was composed by Russian musician Sergei Prokofiev, is based on a fairytale about the poor, young girl who magically finds her prince.

Sergei Prokofiev was among the popular composers of the 20th century. Cinderella is one of the favorite ballets in the world with over 1,500 versions by different choreographers based on the music by Prokofiev. 

Previously, Constant was the first who helped HBSO artists confidently perform a classical ballet and contributed to the success of The Nutcracker on the local stage.
