(VEN) - On March 31, the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), with the support of BSA The Software Alliance, launched a month-long campaign in Hanoi to commemorate the World Intellectual Property Day.

The campaign will last until April 30 with a series of activities to be organized to enhance public awareness about intellectual property. Educational and training activities will be held during the next one month, and an inspection of the implementation on legal regulations will continue to be carried out in May and the ensuing months,” said Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Viet Thanh.

He added that the goal of the campaign was to enlist the involvement of the entire society in this field, especially to enhance the role and responsibility of intellectual property regulatory agencies and intellectual property right (IPR) enforcement agencies at the very top levels, the media, IPR owners, and consumers.

The MOST continues to work with BSA The Software Alliance in this program towards the goal of achieving greater successes from IPR protection and enforcement in Vietnam in the near future.
