(VEN) - The Binh Thuan Industry Promotion Center has outlined plans to implement support projects as soon as they are approved in order to improve industry promotion.
Although the budget for rural industrial production support projects has not been approved, since the beginning of 2018, the center has outlined plans to implement these projects. Specifically, the center has outlined a plan to assist rural industrial facilities in modernizing manufacturing equipment (Plan 1) and a plan to support investment in the infrastructure of industrial zones for small and medium enterprises (Plan 2).
Plan 1 was created to support three projects in the fields of cashew nut processing, packaging production, and producing organic mineral fertilizers from the leaves of dragon fruit trees. The plan consists of specific steps, including informing rural industrial facilities about the amounts of financial support approved for them; signing contracts with state authorities and rural industrial facilities; accelerating the signing of contracts between these facilities and equipment suppliers; promoting the installation and operation of new equipment; and finalizing the budget for implementation.
Plan 2 was created to support investment in the infrastructure of the Song Binh industrial zone for small and medium enterprises in Bac Binh District, invested in by the Thong Thuan Milk Joint Stock Company. The plan also consists of specific steps, including guiding and accelerating the invitation for bids; approving bidding plans; signing contracts with construction contractors; promoting the construction of roads; and auditing.
According to the Binh Thuan Industry Promotion Center, the center has assigned clear responsibilities to each technical department and its leaders in order to implement these plans by November 2018.
Outlining plans to implement support projects has enabled Binh Thuan Province to fulfill its annual industry promotion plans ahead of schedule for years.
In the first four years implementing the province’s industry promotion program for the 2013-2020 period, the center provided financial support totaling more than VND2 billion for cleaner production projects and fulfilled 100 percent of its tasks in this field. Industry promotion activities in the locality have improved considerably in terms of both quantity and quality. The local budget for industry promotion has grown year after year, allowing the center to increase support for rural industrial production projects.
Binh Thuan Province has used the budget of the National Industry Promotion Program to provide support for five projects that have yielded good results.
Noteworthy examples include support for modernizing soy sauce production equipment at the Hoa Sen Phan Thiet household business, which has helped increase the bottling capacity by about 10 times. The use of wood carving machinery has enabled the Tran To household business to increase production capacity by 16 times.
A representative of the Binh Thuan Industry Promotion Center attributed these satisfactory results to effective implementation of support plans. The center carried out careful surveys and provided consultancy for rural industrial facilities to invest in modernizing manufacturing equipment.
To further effective implementation of Binh Thuan Province’s industry promotion program for the 2013-2020 period, the center will continue providing guidance and consultancy for rural industrial facilities to seek financial support for their investment projects in 2018 and ensuing years. The center will provide support for rural industrial facilities in a wider range of fields in accordance with the province’s orientation for industrial and craft production development.
