Binh Duong's Exports Up 19.5 Percent in Six Months

(VEN) - The Binh Duong Province Department of Industry and Trade said that despite unfavorable factors for production and trading, Binh Duong Province's exports came to about US$4.1 billion in the first six months of this year, a 19.5 percent increase from a year ago.

Of these, textile-garments continued to be a key export with revenue of US$644 million, increasing 11.9 percent from a year ago and accounting for 15.7 percent of all export earnings; wood furniture US$629 million, up 4.2 percent and 15.3 percent of all export earnings; footwear US$375 million and up 2.7 percent; and rubber latex amounted to 104,000 tonnes, 2.5 times more than in the same months last year.
