(VEN) - In April seafood exports from Bac Lieu Province increased in terms of both value and volume. More than 2,700 tonnes of frozen shrimp was exported, bringing revenue of over US$32 million. In the first four months, the province exported more than 8,300 tonnes of frozen shrimp, earning over US$101 million. In the first quarter, it exported about 5,600 tonnes of frozen shrimp, earning over US$68 million.
These results were achieved thanks to business efforts to seek new export markets from Asia, Australia, Hong Kong (China), the Republic of Korea, and some Arab countries. Businesses have tightened control over the quality of input materials to ensure the quality of products so that they can win the trust of consumers in the new markets.
