The Ba Na Hills Mountain Resort held a ceremony on July 27 to welcome its one millionth tourist in 2015.

The lucky tourist was Nguyen Van Tuat from Ho Chi Minh City. Special gifts for him included a voucher worth VND10 million (nearly US$460) which can be used at all services in the resort and a one-year unlimited cable car pass.

Meanwhile, the 999,999th visitor was Dean Leber from London, the United Kingdom, and the 1,000,001st visitor was To The Minh, a third grade student from Lien Bao primary school, in northern Vinh Phuc province.

The two visitors also received vouchers worth VND5 million to use at all services in the resort and a one-year unlimited cable car use pass.

The event showed the significant growth in the number of tourists to Da Nang city and Ba Na Hills, one of the most popular destinations in the central city.

In 2014, the tourism site received its one millionth visitor in November.

During the Summer Festival 2015 which is taking place at the resort, tourists can enjoy a wide range of activities including the D’Amour Flower Festival, a Vine Festival providing chances for visitors to taste wine and enjoy jazz-funk dances, in addition to a street music performance, and a group music contest./.
