Attracting US$22.34 billion in FDI in 2013

(VEN) - The Ministry of Planning and Investment’s Foreign Investment Department said on March 13 that Vietnam had attracted US$21.6 billion by December 20, 2013 and US$22.34 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) by the end of the year.

Last year the country received 1,530 new FDI projects with total registered capital of US$14.48 billion and permitted 590 ongoing FDI projects to increase their capital by US$7.86 billion.

Invested FDI capital amounted to US$11.5 billion by the end of the year, a 9.9 percent increase on 2012./.
