The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) officially launched a festival of photos, reportage and documentary films on peoples in the ASEAN community in Hanoi on June 4.
The festival is to mark the achievements and contributions of the ASEAN peoples and nations, said Deputy Minister Truong Minh Tuan, adding that the ASEAN Community will be officially established on December 31.
Organisers will receive photo, reportage and documentary film submissions reflecting the cultures, costumes, traditions, languages, health, education, industries, agriculture, and environments of the peoples in ASEAN nations.
Deadline for entries is October 31, 2015. Participants may be an organisation, group of authors or inpiduals who are citizens of an ASEAN member country.
Award ceremony is expected to take place in December in Vietnam .
Awards include one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and three special prizes.

Vietnam together with Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand forms the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)./.
