Amway Vietnam contributes over 19 billion dongs for community activities in 2019

Amway Vietnam has just released the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report 2019. This is the fifth time Amway has published this publication.

As a company that always involves in social activities, this report is an opportunity for Amway to look back on the activities of the year, send gratitude to partners.

The four outstanding values of Amway's CSR activities are: Ethical Responsibility, Philanthropic Responsibility, Legal Responsibility, and Economic Responsibility. Specifically, in 2019, Amway Vietnam has invested over VND 19 billion for community activities, supporting nearly 90,000 people in difficult circumstances, especially children.

Since its inception in 1959, Amway has always upheld the values of Ethical Responsibility such as associating business development with environmental protection, building a work environment that focuses on the human element. In 2019, Amway was named one of the best places to work in Asia.

For Philanthropic Responsibility, in 2019, Amway has implemented programs such as giving Tet gifts to upland students in Yen Bai province, awarding scholarships to poor students overcoming difficulties in Binh Duong province, along with the Ho Chi Minh City Police Newspaper presenting 2,200 gifts to the children in the Mid-Autumn Festival, accompanying the Beauty and Compassion program in Miss World Vietnam 2019, granting AmCham 2019 scholarships to develop talents for the country.

The focus of Amway's philanthropy activities is programs aimed at children. In which, the most impressive program is Nutrilite Power of 5 campaign. The year 2019 marks the 5-year journey of Nutrilite Power of 5 in Vietnam. The program is implemented by Amway Corporation in 15 countries, providing non-commercial Nutrilite Little Bits multi-micronutrient package to improve malnutrition for children. The year 2019 marks a new step of the Nutrilite Power of 5 campaign in Vietnam in cooperation with the Department of Maternal and Child Health under the Ministry of Health through the project "Improving nutritional status for children under 5 years old”, period 2019-2020. Within 2 years, the project will provide 1,024,344 boxes of Nutrilite Little Bits for children in Nghe An and Ha Giang for free, as well as collaborate with the health sector to organize programs to disseminate nutrition knowledge for health officials, pregnant women and people with children under 5 years old.

In the goal of Legal Responsibility, 2019 is the 4th consecutive year Amway is on the list of Top 100 Corporate Sustainability Index. In the same year, Amway joined the Ministry of Industry and Trade in a series of activities for "Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2019".

The highlight of legal responsibility is that Amway Vietnam is the first multi-level marketing company certified by the Ministry of Industry and Trade under Decree 40/2018/ND-CP. This achievement affirms Amway's position, the compliance in Vietnamese law enforcement, as well as its commitment to sustainable development, aiming at the goal of "Helping people live better lives".

In 2019, Amway also achieved important goals in Economic Responsibility. Based on global sales, Amway was named by the Direct Selling News rankings as the world's leading direct selling company and topped the charts for eight consecutive years.
