The Ba Ria-Vung Tau People’s Committee has approved a 2020-2030 plan to build and promote a tourism brand for the province.

Among other things, the plan seeks to remove bottlenecks in brand promotion and tourism development, creating momentum for the tourism industry to make breakthroughs as a key economic sector.

It will focus in particular on building and promoting the province’s tourism products and brands.

In the plan’s first phase, surveys and research will be carried out on establishing a provincial tourism brand and developing tourism products. The studies will evaluate the province’s tourism potential and core values, the current status of tourism development and brand tourism. They will also assess the impact of socio-economic contexts, market and competitors on tourism brands.

Phase 2 will identify orientations and solutions to build tourism products, including brand positioning with logos, slogans and statement of core values. It will also set development orientations for target tourist markets and product groups.

Phase 3 will design a provincial tourism brand and identity with unique characteristics. The brand identity will be deployed through strategic connection points. This phase will also develop a set of standards to provide detailed guidance on applying brand identity for production and publication of each item, communication and advertisement.

Phase 4 will deal with the communication and management of tourism brand in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, developing a brand communication plan, proposing the most effective communication tools and providing knowledge and training in brand management skills.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau has an extensive range of tourism services for visitors to enjoy. Marine tourism will be the province’s mainstay though, always attracting many domestic and foreign tourists.

The new 10-year master plan on building and promoting the province’s tourism brand aims to highlight its distinctions, take the sector to new levels and reach further into the international tourism market. International tourists in particular will increasingly know Ba Ria-Vung Tau as an attractive, friendly, must-visit tourist destination in Southeast Asia.
